🇪🇺 About the brand
Louis De Poortere – where a rug is more than just a rug
Belgian quality since 1929. Louis De Poortere is a fourth-generation family business that simply refuses to compromise – either in design or manufacturing. Traditional Wilton weaving, modern Jacquard technique, bold patterns: the result is always something that truly defines the atmosphere of a space.
And if that weren't enough: since 2023, with their Ecorugs collection, they also prove that premium quality and sustainability can perfectly coexist – made from recycled yarn, with conscious manufacturing.
A good rug doesn't just decorate – it gives character.

Where does it work well?
- In a living room, where the black Persian patterned rug adds depth and character to the space without overwhelming it – the faded effect softens the intensity of the black.
- In industrial or loft-style interiors, where the black rug naturally complements concrete, metal, and wood materials.
- In darker, richer interiors, where deep tones enhance each other and create a dramatic overall effect.
- Alongside light walls and furniture, where the black rug creates a strong visual focal point.
- In a bedroom, in front of or under the bed, where the deep color is a prominent atmospheric element both at night and in the morning.
- In a study, where the black Persian pattern creates a serious and concentration-enhancing atmosphere.
Why is it different?
- The faded effect of the black Persian patterned rug is not random – the jacquard weave creates multi-layered textures and shades that together provide the vintage look.
- The cotton-wool-polyester blend is soft to the touch and durable – the black color will not fade, and the pattern remains sharp for years.
Material & feel
The ECO RUG MINERAL BLACK is made from a blend of cotton, wool, and polyester, with Belgian jacquard Wilton weaving. The surface has a multi-layered texture – soft yet durable. The black base, combined with anthracite and sand beige shades, creates a deep, faded Persian pattern. Cleaning: dry cleaning is recommended.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the black Persian patterned rug fit into a light interior?
Yes – the faded, softened effect tempers the intensity of the black, creating a harmonious contrast even with light walls and furniture.
How can it be cleaned?
Smaller stains can be carefully removed with a damp cloth. Due to the wool content, dry cleaning is recommended.
Is this also part of the Eco Rug collection?
Yes – it is a member of the Louis De Poortere Eco Rug collection, combining Belgian craftsmanship traditions and modern manufacturing technology.
If you expect a rug to be memorable – the MINERAL BLACK will not disappoint.

Csodaszép termék
A rendelt csomagom megérkezett épségben, gondosan csomagolva.
